PROS

  1. Slim Design: It was remarkably slim for its time (around 6.3mm), giving it a premium and sleek appearance.
  2. Good Audio Quality: Included a dedicated high-fidelity audio chip (ESS Sabre ES9018 DAC), offering excellent sound quality for music lovers with wired headphones.
  3. Decent Performance (for its time): Powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor and 1GB of RAM, it offered smooth performance for typical tasks in 2014.
  4. Premium Build Quality: Featured a metallic frame and a solid build that felt more expensive than its price tag suggested.
  5. Good Call Quality: Users noted clear in-call audio and reliable network reception.
  6. 3.5mm Headphone Jack: It featured a standard 3.5mm audio jack for wired audio compatibility.
  7. Affordable Price Point: It was a budget-friendly option that provided a premium feel upon its release.
  8. Basic Functionality: Reliably handled essential smartphone functions like calling, messaging, and basic web browsing.
  9. Adequate Sunlight Legibility (for its time): The IPS LCD display had decent brightness and viewing angles for its era.
  10. Lightweight: Weighing around 146g, it was relatively easy to handle despite its metal build.

CONS

  1. Outdated Operating System: Runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), which is extremely old, unsupported, and not compatible with modern apps or security standards.
  2. Limited RAM: Features only 1GB of RAM, leading to significant performance limitations and lag even when it was new, and making modern use impossible.
  3. Minimal Internal Storage: Only 16GB of internal storage, with no option for expansion via microSD card slot, severely limiting app installation and data storage.
  4. Low-Resolution Display: The 5-inch IPS LCD display has an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, which is basic by today's standards.
  5. Basic Camera Performance: The 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera offer very low-quality photos and videos by today's standards.
  6. No 4G Connectivity: Only supports 2G and 3G networks, meaning slow data speeds and potential network compatibility issues today.
  7. Low Battery Capacity: The 2000mAh battery capacity is very small compared to modern standards and struggles with active use.
  8. No FM Radio: It did not include an FM radio feature.
  9. Non-Removable Battery: Unlike some of its cheaper contemporaries, the slim design meant the battery was non-removable.
  10. Proprietary Interface: The older Funtouch OS lacked the refinement and features of modern Android interfaces.
