PROS

  1. Innovative Design: The inward-folding teardrop hinge design closes perfectly flat with no gap, protecting the internal display.
  2. Top-Tier Cameras: Features a 50MP main, 16MP ultra-wide, 12MP 3x, and 8MP 10x periscope lens, arguably the best camera system on a 2021-era foldable.
  3. Functional Outer Display: The 6.45-inch cover screen has a conventional 21:9 aspect ratio, allowing it to feel and act like a regular smartphone when folded.
  4. Minimal Crease: The flexible display has a significantly less noticeable crease compared to competing foldable models of its time.
  5. Excellent Performance: The Kirin 9000 5nm chipset provides flagship-level speed and responsiveness.
  6. Fast Charging: Supports 55W wired Huawei SuperCharge, filling the battery in about 30 minutes.
  7. High-Quality Display: The 8-inch inner screen offers high resolution (2480 x 2200) and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.
  8. Good Battery Life: The 4500mAh battery provides solid, all-day battery life for a foldable device.
  9. Sturdy Build Quality: The hinge mechanism feels durable, secure, and premium, allowing it to stay open at various angles.
  10. Excellent Stereo Speakers: The audio system is loud, crisp, and provides a wide sound stage.

CONS

  1. No Google Services: Lacks pre-installed Google Mobile Services (GMS), restricting access to Play Store, YouTube, and Maps.
  2. Extremely Expensive: Launched at a very high price (around $2,700–$3,000) and often requires importing.
  3. Heavy and Thick: Weighs 295 grams and is quite thick when folded, which can cause discomfort in pockets.
  4. No Wireless Charging: Lacks wireless charging, a common convenience feature on flagship phones.
  5. No Inner Camera: The foldable inner screen lacks a front-facing camera, making video calls on the large screen impossible.
  6. Proprietary Storage: Uses Huawei’s proprietary NM card format for storage expansion instead of standard MicroSD cards.
  7. Limited Regional Availability: Primarily sold in China, making it difficult to purchase and service elsewhere.
  8. Limited App Optimization: While improving, some apps do not properly utilize the unique, near-square inner display aspect ratio.
  9. Not Water Resistant: Lacks an official IP rating for water or dust resistance.
  10. Fragile Inner Screen: The plastic inner screen is more vulnerable to damage from scratches and pressure compared to traditional glass screens.
